Booking Terms and Safety Rules

1. Introduction

These Booking Terms and Safety Rules apply to all visitors, participants and spectators attending Cornwall Slip and Slide operated by Atlantic Reach Limited.

By making a booking, entering the site, or participating in any activity, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Safety Rules on behalf of yourself and any members of your booking group.

Sliding and inflatable activities involve inherent risks, including the risk of serious injury. All participants must follow staff instructions, safety briefings, signage and rules at all times.

Atlantic Reach Limited reserves the right to refuse admission, refuse participation, or remove any person from the site where necessary for safety, operational or behavioural reasons.

2. Booking Conditions

  • All bookings are subject to availability.
  • Full payment must be made at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.
  • Session times, attractions and activities may change without notice due to weather, maintenance, operational requirements or other circumstances outside of our control.
  • We reserve the right to temporarily suspend or close attractions where required for safety reasons.
  • Bookings are non-transferable unless agreed by management.
  • Refunds, transfers or credits are issued in accordance with the applicable cancellation policy at the time of booking.

3. Liability and Assumption of Risk

Participation in water slides, inflatables and associated activities involves significant inherent risks, including high speeds, sudden movement, impact with water and surfaces, loss of control, collisions, slippery surfaces, and the risk of serious injury.

By participating, guests acknowledge and accept the obvious and inherent risks associated with these activities and agree that participation is undertaken at their own risk.

Each participant is responsible for deciding whether they are capable of safely taking part in any activity and for following all safety rules, signage, safety briefings and staff instructions at all times.

Atlantic Reach Limited takes reasonable steps to provide a safe environment and reduce risks so far as reasonably practicable through supervision, inspections, maintenance and operational procedures. However, it is not possible to eliminate all risks associated with dynamic water and inflatable activities.

Nothing within these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability which cannot legally be excluded under English law.

4. Participant Responsibilities

  • Follow all instructions given by staff at all times.
  • Follow all signage, safety briefings and attraction rules.
  • Behave responsibly and with consideration for other guests.
  • Use all equipment correctly and safely.
  • Immediately report accidents, injuries, defects or unsafe behaviour to a member of staff.
  • Wear suitable clothing for water-based activities.
  • Remove glasses, jewellery, mobile phones, sharp objects and footwear before participating where instructed.
  • Do not participate whilst under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any substance which may impair judgement or physical ability.

5. Supervision of Children

  • Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
  • Children under the age of 16 years must be supervised within the attraction area by a parent or guardian aged 16 years or over.
  • Children under the age of 8 years and non-swimmers must be closely supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
  • The lead booker and supervising adults remain responsible for the conduct, supervision and safety of children within their group.

6. Health and Fitness

Participation may not be suitable for everyone.

Participants should not take part if participation may aggravate an existing medical condition, injury or illness.

Participation is not recommended for individuals suffering from, or recovering from:

  • Heart conditions
  • High blood pressure
  • Epilepsy
  • Back, neck or joint injuries
  • Recent surgery
  • Pregnancy
  • Any condition that may affect safe participation

If in doubt, participants should seek medical advice before attending.

7. General Safety Rules

  • No running within attraction areas.
  • Do not stand whilst sliding.
  • Do not cross slide lanes.
  • Exit splash pools and landing areas promptly and carefully.
  • Make sure landing areas are clear before sliding.
  • Only use slides and inflatables in the intended manner.
  • Respect other users and staff at all times.
  • No glass is permitted within the attraction area.
  • Dogs must remain within designated spectator areas only.
  • Unsafe, reckless, abusive or aggressive behaviour will result in removal from the site without refund.

8. Attraction Specific Rules

Main Slide

  • We recommend one person per bodyboard.
  • We recommend one person per single ring.
  • We recommend two people per double ring.
  • Use the next available lane where instructed.
  • Do not cross into another lane when exiting.

Inflatable Slides

  • Slides may operate at high speed.
  • Participants must slide in the instructed position only.
  • Keep arms in and head back whilst sliding.
  • Only one person permitted on access steps at a time unless instructed otherwise.
  • Ensure landing pools are clear before sliding.
  • Wetsuits may be mandatory on certain slides.

Belly Slides

  • One person at a time.
  • Slide on your stomach only unless instructed otherwise.
  • Do not run down the slide.

Lazy River

  • Follow the one-way flow system at all times.
  • Rings are recommended.
  • Life vests are available upon request.

Zorbs and Water Rollers

  • Maximum occupancy limits advised by staff must be followed at all times.
  • Follow staff instructions before entering.
  • Lifejackets are available.

Moon Bounce Trampoline

  • Be mindful of smaller and lighter users.
  • Do not intentionally double-bounce other participants.
  • Surfaces may become slippery.

9. Weather and Operational Safety

For safety reasons, attractions may close or operations may cease during adverse weather conditions including high winds, heavy rain, thunderstorms or other unsafe operating conditions.

Management decisions relating to operational safety are final.

10. Photography, CCTV and Media

CCTV operates within parts of the site for safety, security and operational purposes.

Photography and video recording may take place during sessions and may be used by Atlantic Reach Limited for promotional, marketing and social media purposes.

If you have concerns regarding photography or video recording, please speak to a member of management during your visit.

11. Refusal of Entry and Removal

Atlantic Reach Limited reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any person without refund where:

  • Safety rules are not followed.
  • Staff instructions are ignored.
  • Behaviour is unsafe, abusive, aggressive or disruptive.
  • Participants appear intoxicated or under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • Appropriate supervision of children is not maintained.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Safety Rules are governed by English law and subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
